I've not had to buy & consume 16874 Nicotine delivery sticks, and saved $3,426.83. I've reclaimed 58 days, 14 hours and 11 minutes to live as I Choose, that's the best part of my gift to me. Cold Turkey was easier for me because I wasn't prolonging my withdrawl with nicotine replacements. And this is the first Great American Smoke Out that I can say I don't smoke! 11/16/06 07:13	Oh yea, count me in on this parade! Cold Turkey was MUCH easier than I thought it would be, it certainly wasn't the drama-filled angsty experience that many people led me to believe. Once I got through withdrawal I was done: no prolonged agony, no months and months of longing and melodrama. My life wasn't over when I quit... in fact my life began when I quit! And staying quit honestly has been a snap. One of my biggest fears was that I would live in constant turmoil, I listened to way too many stories of doom and gloom from negative people. I only wish I found this place sooner! Thanks to the articles and the awesome people here I fully understand how addiction works, I simply know too much to go back to that smokey cloud of ignorance! 11/16/06 07:39	Love this parade!!! I quit cold turkey and thought I would go into shock. That was untill I finished reading all the library and posts here. The education that I recieved made me realize that to quit wasnt as dramatic and life threatening as I had thought. Thank you every one here for your time and stories and facts. I am calm and comfortable after 37 years of fighting constant withdrawal. I QUIT and will NTAP I have been quit for 7 Months, 4 Weeks, 11 hours, 37 minutes and 5 seconds (242 days). 11/16/06 08:57	It's funny, because I still have days when I crave like crazy. But if I look at the whole picture, I am in utter disbelief at how easy it was to quit. I was terrified to quit cold turkey, I thought I would be out of mind. I'm not. I am fine. When I do have a moment, I am able to stop, think, and move on. I couldn't do that as a smoker. I was too stressed although I didn't realize it. Seven months, two weeks, five days, 2 hours, 58 minutes and 7 seconds. 9324 cigarettes not smoked, saving $2,563.90. Life saved: 4 weeks, 4 days, 9 hours, 0 minutes.
