02/08/09 02:12	Tags : None Today is a wonderful day for me, I've been nicotine free for 3 Months! And what a 3 months it has been. As most of you know I was diagnosed with lung cancer on March 7. It was also the last day I put a cigarette to my mouth. The rest of March and April was very busy with Dr. appts, tests, tests and more tests. I was wondering if I had any more blood for them to take. On April 23, I had my left lung removed, hoping it had not spread to my lymph nodes. I was in intensive care for 3 days with every tube and wire there possibly could have been. I was very strong and was healing quickly and so was released early. I went for my checkup the other day and the lymph nodes were negative. So I'm very happy to say "I AM CANCER FREE" I'm certainly not out of the woods yet, I must be checked every 6 months for the next 3 years. But I'm one of the very fortunate ones, why? I'll never know the answer to that. I just want everyone to know that it CAN happen to you and at any age. Hold on to your quits everyone your life does depend on it. And for my friend Gayle, I know you are lurking out there........you can do it, you are one of the strongest persons I know, don't let nicotine control you. So that being said.........I'm celebrating today!!!!! 3 months today!!!!
