Since I quit, I've moved house, been on holiday twice, watched my dad almost die of alcoholism during a three-week spell in intensive care (and then take
up drinking again at his old levels 6 weeks after getting out), separated from my wife, done the shopping, been forced into selling my cherished car, washed
the dishes, been to the cinema, played games.... you get the picture...
At no time have I even considered smoking again. There have been occasions where the thought has flitted through my consciousness and then blown away in the
wind, but that's it.
Life goes on, for good and bad.
In quitting, I did all the hard work, but I found the instructions on how to do it here at Freedom and in Joel's library. I wish I could get all the
smokers I know to come here too...
Cheers all
